Parent to School Communication
Parents are encouraged to communicate with the school through the following means:
Parents may want to visit and observe their child's classroom with an advance appointment made directly through the teacher. Parents must first receive a visitor's pass from the office prior to attending a class. Parents are asked not to visit classrooms in September or in June.
Parents and teachers meet to discuss the progress of each child during school-scheduled conferences. The 1st scheduling is done after Back to School Night. Other conferences are usually held after quarterly report cards are issued.
May be requested by parents or teachers to share specific concerns.
CONFERENCE WITH VICE PRINCIPAL/PRINCIPAL:
May be requested by the Principal, a teacher or a parent to discuss pertinent matters. These meetings may be arranged through the school secretary. If the issue involves a teacher and/or classroom-related matters, parents are urged to resolve the matter with the teacher prior to seeking the assistance of the Vice Principal or the Principal.
COMMUNICATION WITH EDUCATION COMMITTEE AND BOARD MEMBER:
If an issue has not been resolved through teachers and the Administration, the issue may be addressed in writing to the Education Committee.
